NMC eLogbook is a comprehensive digital logbook platform developed to facilitate structured documentation, monitoring and validation of postgraduate medical training, in accordance with the Post Graduate Medical Education Regulations (PGMER) 2023 and the Competency-Based Curriculum framework prescribed by the National Medical Commission. It is designed and operated by Neugenic Mediventure Collective Pvt. Ltd..
The PGMER 2023 mandate
As per PGMER 2023, all postgraduate students from the 2023 batch onward are required to maintain a dynamic eLogbook digitally, which must be updated weekly and verified by a guide or Head of Department every month. Postgraduate and super-speciality residents pursuing MD, MS, MCh or DM must maintain digital, dynamic, systematic and continuous competency-based documentation covering academic activities, clinical cases, procedural and diagnostic skills, skill lab training, teaching experience, research and thesis work, and periodic assessments.
The regulations place equal weight on faculty validation and institutional oversight — a logbook is not considered complete until a guide has reviewed and signed off on it. NMC eLogbook is built around that two-sided requirement: a student portal for continuous documentation, and a faculty portal for the review cycle the regulation demands.
